LIT Meets: The Cutting Edge Fashion At Thrift Social!

Living in Nairobi can be a bit exhausting. You are always going to the same places, to meet the same people and listen to the same music.

Bet you can feel the lethargy creeping in after reading that sentence sio? Thrift Social is for not one of those events. It is a collection of fashion enthusiasts, fashion entrepreneurs, thrift shoppers and music lovers who undoubtedly set the trends in Nairobi.  The pops of color and creativity would have been a lot to take in for strangers of this niche community, as attendees did not disappoint. Fashion generally is a medium in which many use to express themselves and the fashion at this event mirrored the innovation behind the event’s creation.

Kenyan act Sauti Sol got the performances started to the delight of onlookers who were looking to see that famous “Short n Sweet” Dance up close and personal! Shekhinah needs no introduction as she has taken the hearts of many East Africans and locked it in her South African safe. From the minute her “Suited” track dropped, many of us have been able to get the tune out of our head…. in a very good way!

You just watch the performance to know what we are talking about!
