The second KCB Karen Masters happened not a long while ago. In the words of the tournament director, it can be described as a “distinctly African tournament designed to promote the game of golf in Arica and to support local players in their quest to become world-beating golfers.” This time around, the tournament partnered with Sunshine tour from South African to bring 100 of their top players (and hopefully supporters!) to the event.
Besides South Africa the participation pool was drawn from Brazil, Ireland, England, USA, Australia, Sweden, Portugal, and Chile. So for the ladies who attended the event, there was not a lack of eye-candy. Sponsors included KCB of course, Safaricom, D.T Dobie, Toyota, Tamarind Group, Kenya Airways, Britam Holdings, Meridian Healthcare, and Copycat Printers.
Apart from being one of the best-organized golf tournaments that this country has seen in a while the entertainment industry showed up! Performances were done by our guy Naiboi, and the great Nyashinski and Heavy K from South Africa. The DJ’s were not left behind in terms of the talent pool as DJ Andre, DJ Stretch, and DJ Roudge from Smirnoff Battle of the Beats fame all showed up to make sure attendees get down.
